Vancouver's international culinary week. The world's chefs, from the runway to the summit.
Coming soon to Vancouver
Imagine a world-class culinary event celebrating Vancouver and the Coast Mountains. Its restaurants, its chefs, its food and its wine. One week. Two weekends. Every sense, awake.
The week opens at the airport itself. Chefs from the cities that love Vancouver most fly in and cook the kick-off at YVR.
Every visiting chef brings a writer from home. The chef cooks, the writer tells the story, and Vancouver's table gets talked about in Tokyo, Paris and New York.
Target cities. The chef lineup lands soon.
Each visiting chef moves into one of Vancouver's great hotels and cooks with its chef. One-night-only menus, poured with BC wine, that taste like this city.

At UBC's Museum of Anthropology, Indigenous chefs and visiting international chefs share a kitchen and a table. Techniques, ingredients and philosophy pass hand to hand, and the stories travel home with the visitors.
Chef teams fly by float plane to Rivers Inlet, a glacier-carved fjord in one of the world's largest remaining temperate rainforests and the traditional territory of the Wuikinuxv Nation.
The Museum of Anthropology stands on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people.
The exchange runs both ways. Through the year, Vancouver's chefs fly out to the same cities as ambassadors for British Columbia, with BC winemakers pouring beside them.
Ten routes out of YVR. One table that never really closes.
The week ends on top of Grouse Mountain, with the city it celebrated glittering below.
The closing night moves up the mountain: open fires, rustic Coast Mountain cooking, and Vancouver laid out beneath you.
